Vermont Blues Fest 2010 at Mount Snow (more vids like this)
Mount Snow resort hosted the 2nd Annual Vermont Blues Festival. We were there Friday night and the crowd was totally into the performances of James Armstrong and Alex Suter. We check in on the night scene at the Mount Snow Grand Summit Hotel steps away from the music action, and the nearby Big Bears Lodge in West Dover where you can hear the show right outside your room when the wind blows right. Meet Mishka, the motel dog at the Big Bears and see the breakfast you have to look forward to there. Video hosted by Lauren Traub Teton, exclusive for Twifties.TV and SnowboardSecrets.TV |

Experience Saturday night at Gathering of the Vibes 2010 with us as we listen to the show from the car on WPKN 89.5 before entering, and enjoy Umphrey's McGee finale and dancing from the audience. We meet Jason from Telefunken who divulges info about the microphones that the top bands use, and we hear how Red Bull keeps people going during long hours of work, and can be reinvented with a little cranberry and vodka.
Be sure to see our 2 other videos of GOTV 2010 on Twifties.TV including "Twifties Tips for Music Festivals" and Deep Banana Blackout's late night party.
Telefunken's M 80 microphone was chosen as the mic for "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon."

Maybe you haven't been to a music festival for a while and would like to go! Or perhaps you're a festival goer and want a few new festival survival ideas. You'll see how to "warm-up" before entering the festival gates, how to last until the late show is over at 3:30 a.m. and how to listen to some of the Festival without being there (THANK YOU WPKN 89.5 !) Find out how to watch the show from the luxury of the VIP Tent, and some excellent things to bring, including the Perfect Flashlight.
Lauren shows you the healthy easy festival foods that are wheat and gluten free in her cooler. And confides that she recklessly broke the important First Rule of Backpack Placement, and sufffered the consequences, fortunately with a happy ending after a scary hour.

Gathering of the Vibes 2010 - Deep Banana Blackout (more vids like this)
Deep Banana Blackout played the late show for the first time since we've been coming to Gathering of the Vibes, and what a party it was, from 1:30 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. You needed to have a camping wrist band to get to the Green Vibes Stage. Lauren gives 3 Twifties Tips on how to stay up late for parties here. See the episode where she loses (but then finds) her backpack, and also see Twifties Tips for Music Festivals at Gathering of the Vibes 2010 with Umphrey's McGee and Keller Williams and the Rhythm Devils. Hiking the Best Part of the Appalachian Trail (more vids like this)
Thru-hiker Dusty a.k.a. Particle hand-picked the yummiest part of the Appalachian Trail for this tenderfoot to hike for three days and guided us. We hiked in Shenandoah National Park, in Virginia, and we agree this was a perfect spot for a casual hiker to taste almost everything the Trail has to offer, minus the despair. First day, hiked 8 miles from Big Meadows Campground to Skyland, then made friends and got a lift back to the campground. Next day, we drove to and parked at Skyland, and hiked 6 miles to the Byrd's Nest 3 shelter for a backwoods overnight. Next day we hiked 4 miles to the rest area at Thornton's Gap and then caught a ride back to the car at Skyland. Don't miss the famous and delicious blackberry milkshakes in Shenandoah. And don't forget to purchase a camping pass. Video by Lauren Traub Teton exclusive for Twifties.TV.
The hiking shoes mentioned are the Asics Gel Trabucos. "If you want the perfect pair of trail runners, look no further than the Asics Gel-Trabuco's." says Michael Lanza in Backpacker Magazine, April 2009. Read the full review here. Buy them from Zappos here. Leki hiking poles are available here from Backcountry.com.
